Cardinia/Beaconsfield Golf Course is a picturesque 27-hole course in the Dandenong Ranges East of Melbourne, they have a hills and lakes course and successfully combine the two within the 27 holes.

The Hills course was the original course and is well established, The Lakes course came later in the late 70’s early 80’s and was then closed for a number of years but 9 holes of the lakes was reopened in 2007 and either the front or back 9 of the Hill makes up the 18 holes. I have played many games of golf at these two excellent courses and enjoy them very much. Both courses abound with wildlife, Kangaroos, Ducks and even a local Goose that hangs around the 9th on the lakes.

As my subject for this painting I chose the 6th hole of the Hills Course, because the green is situated with a view back down the first to the club house which is a beautiful old building and a real feature of this golf course.

I hope that you like my painting of the ‘Hills Course’ at Cardinia/Beaconsfield enough for you to want to visit and I hope that you enjoy your golf there as much as I have done and will again.
